North Somerset Museum
North Somerset Museum in Weston-super-Mare tells the story of the district through the objects in their care. The museum hosts a range of exhibitions and events including The Grand Pier Special Exhibiton created in partnership with the Grand Pier, on the devastating fire of 28 July 2008 and its impact.
Items from the site are on show, including a dodgem car, original iron pillar, coins, trophies and tools, as well as film of the fire and an eye witness account.
The exhibition also includes is a 4 metres long, full detail, scale model of the pier as it was before the fire.
