Grand Pier Cider Festival - Day One
in association with Thatchers
Fancy sipping a chilled cider whilst enjoying the sun and some fabulous entertainment? Well, who wouldn’t?
The South Deck is the only place to be over the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd June. Thatchers and the Grand Pier have teamed up to bring you a delightful selection of sumptuous Somerset ciders, from sparkling to still and from cloudy to clear. That’s not to mention a delicious array of culinary delights including a mouth watering hog roast to keep hunger at bay.
On Saturday 22nd the pier is the only place to be as Weston-super-Mare plays host to the spectacular Air Show, and what better place to watch it from than the South Deck & Conservatory which has panoramic views of the town and bay, and more importantly, the sky. Just saying!
Stick around, as on Sunday 23rd we will be opening our doors once more and entertaining you cider drinkin’ lot with a marvellous menu of music, firstly from The Fallen Apples who deliver a subtle blend of jazz, blues, Irish fiddlelydees, country smaltz and bluegrass blitzkriegs - and we challenge you not to tap your feet to these guys! If that hasn’t got you dancing on the hay bales, don’t worry as we’ll be wheeling out the Lipinski boys who will play a fine selection of tunes from the 60’s to the present day, a perfect sing-a-long Sunday afternoon. Gurt lush!
Entry to this great summer event is FREE so don’t miss it!
