FREE RIDES AT THE GRAND PIER FOR FORCES

The Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare is supporting Armed Forces Day this year by offering unlimited free rides to serving armed forces personnel and their immediate families over the weekend of 23rd- 24th June.

The Grand Pier re-opened in October 2010 as a 21st Century indoor theme park. It has 14 brand new rides including a 300m Go Kart Track, the world’s smallest rollercoaster, the Robocoaster, two Formula 1 simulators, a laser maze and a 4D Cinema, but some of the old favourites like the Dodgems, the Ghost Train and Crazy Circus still remain. All the grand Pier ride information can be found at www.grandpier.co.uk

To qualify for unlimited free ride vouchers, serving armed forces personnel are asked to register their interest by email, sending their full name, telephone number and postcode to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) before Friday 15th June.

On the day, forces personnel are asked to present a copy of their email from the Grand Pier, plus their forces identity card at the retail shop on the first floor of the Pavilion building. They will then receive their unlimited free ride vouchers. The ride vouchers are only valid over the weekend of 23rd – 24th June.

Grand Pier owner Kerry Michael said:

“I am very pleased, as a business, to be supporting Armed Forces Day. It gives us an opportunity to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community and to give them and their families the chance to have some fun on the rides at the Grand Pier”.
