The Grand Pier re-launched its 4D Cinema with three brand new films, in time for the February 2012 half-term holiday. The films, which have been specially selected by the Grand Pier team, will appeal to a wide range of tastes.
Deepo is an underwater film, Astro Pinball is an action-packed piece where the audience plays the part of the ball and Robin Hood is a humorous take on a timeless classic.
Grand Pier owner Kerry Michael said:
“I wanted to re-launch the 4D Cinema with three brand new films. I think we have got a great selection, which should appeal to a wide audience, young and old alike. We are currently running a half-price rides offer so for just £1.50 you can come along and see one of our brand new films”.
The 4D Cinema at the Grand Pier is one of only two in the South West region. As well as the 3D film, the fourth dimension gives viewers the experience of moving seats, water, bubbles, wind and other surprises.
The Pier owners have also done a deal with Sky TV for the cinema to be able to show 3D football matches.
The cinema can also run 2D films and stage special showings of blockbuster releases. It will be available for private hire and corporate use. Viewers can also use the screen to link up to consoles like Nintendo Wii and Xbox. Films will be shown regularly throughout the day.
