The Grand Pier offers a range of inspirational and educational visits linked to the national curriculum. From its long, interesting history through to the all new state of the art attractions the Grand Pier can offer a fun packed and informative day out.
Any of our packages can be tailored to suit groups from all key stages or can be mixed and matched to suit your requirements.
Schools & Groups
Primary Schools
Key Stage 1 – Seaside Holidays in the Past
Enjoy story time learning all about seaside holidays in the past. With songs, games and activities this fun packed session provides children with a factual exploration of the seaside.
Key Stage 2 – Visitor Attractions
During a fun filled tour children will learn about the history of The Grand Pier, what has changed and why people visit attractions. In small groups, they will then design a leaflet for visitors to the Pier.
Key Stage 1 and 2 – Maths Education
Numbers, fractions, shapes and symmetry are just a few areas that children will discover whilst exploring Maths on The Grand Pier.
Secondary Schools
Key Stage 3 - The Science of Grand Pier Rides
The Grand Pier’s rides and attractions are a great way to learn about science. From power and supply to the forces affecting you as you move.
Key Stage 4 and 5 – Grand Pier Case Study
From marketing and human resources to design & technology and business operations; these workshops help young adults understand how different elements of a business works.

Pick one of our packages or tailor make a visit to suit your exact requirements. All of our packages include the following:
Meet
Your class will be greeted at The Grand Pier entrance to board the land train which will transport them to the front entrance.
Learn
All our visits are linked to the national curriculum and our Coral Room is available as a classroom for the duration of your visit.
Eat
Choose from a traditional seaside lunch of fish & chips or a packed lunch to accompany your visit.
