The Grand Pier offers a range of inspirational and educational visits linked to the National Curriculum.

From its interesting history through to the all new state of the art attractions, the Grand Pier can offer a fun packed and informative day out for children of all ages. School groups are also welcome to use the bus drop off/pick up point at the entrance to the Grand Pier.

Seaside Holidays Past & Present
Explore Weston-super-Mare and the Grand Pier over a span of 100 years of sea- side holidays. Learn how holidays and the Grand Pier has changed over time to accomodate the needs of the modern day. Primarily suited to Key Stage 1 but can be interesting for any age group.

Victorians
Find out how the Victorians lived and spent their holidays in our seaside town. Also see how the Grand Pier was built at the start of the Edwardian Era. Suitable for Key Stage 1 & 2.

Coast & Environment
This informative talk gives children interesting facts about the coastal environment in Weston-super-Mare. Suitable for Key Stage 2 and above.

The Grand Pier - A Trip Through Time
The Grand Pier was one of the last great Victorian pleasure piers to be built, opening in 1904. This is the story of over 100 years of history.
Suitable for any age.
