CHRISTMAS TOY APPEAL 2020

Every child deserves to experience the magic of Christmas. This year, we'll be partnering with Every Child Needs Christmas in helping Santa with a Christmas Toy Drop-Off, delivering gifts to children across North Somerset who may not have otherwise had a gift to unwrap on Christmas Day.

To spread the Christmas cheer even further, the Grand Pier will be matching every gift donated.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

We will be collecting donated presents, including unwrapped toys and gifts at our non-contact Donation Station which will be at the front of the pier every day from Saturday 24th October to Wednesday 2nd December. While the Grand Pier is closed we're super pleased that we can keep our toy appeal donation station open. On arrive please call 01934 836608.

WHAT TO DONATE:

Items that can be donated have to be new, unwrapped and can include puzzles, games, soft toys, outdoor toys, books, dolls/figures and art materials. The gifts need to be suitable for ages 0-16 years and around the £5-£7 mark.

WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT NEWLY PURCHASED PRODUCTS WHICH ARE SEALED OR WITH LABELS STILL ATTACHED.

WHERE THE GIFTS WILL GO:

Every Child Needs Christmas works with local organisations, charities, places of worship, local council, social care teams etc who refer age and gender of identified children to us for fulfilment by the gifts they collect. They distribute generic gifts to foodbanks and operate all over BS postcodes - covering WSM, Bristol, Clevedon, Portishead, South Gloucestershire, Keynsham.

This appeal will support our local community - we hope that those of you who are in a position to do so will join us in spreading some joy this festive season.

However, we acknowledge that this is a challenging time for many families so if you are not in a position to donate, perhaps you can help us by simply sharing our appeal with your friends and family and spreading the word.
