We would like your visit to the Grand Pier to be as enjoyable as possible, the visitor information page provides all the information you need to plan your trip to the Grand Pier.

This section includes Grand Pier opening times, directions, facilities, events and any special requirements you may have such as disabled access.

Open daily from:

10:00am (rides open at 11am on weekends and school holidays, 12noon on weekdays). Closing times vary throughout the year. Please call 01934 620238 to check. Please note that on the days of concerts and events it may be necessary to close earlier. Please see our Events Guide for more information.

Please Note:

Last admission is 15 minutes before the Pier closes. Announcements are made over the Grand Pier tannoy system at regular intervals in the last hour of opening.
Times may vary for the events calendar.

Rides & Attractions

The Grand Pier offers world class rides & attractions within a world class venue! With attractions including a 250m Go-Kart circuit, Children's Play Area and much more, there is something for everyone at the Grand Pier.

Food & Drink

The Grand Pier provides food & drink for all occasions and tastes. With over 10 different outlets serving freshly prepared snacks, meals including traditional fish & chips and don’t forget our delicious desserts & ice creams.

Please note: only food or drink purchased from the Grand Pier can be consumed on it.


The Grand Pier will be hosting many fantastic events throughout the year. Please keep a lookout for our events programme.

Disabled Access

All areas of the Main Pavilion have lift and escalator access. Our Function Rooms also provide full access for our disabled guests.

There are disabled toilets on all floors and in all areas including ‘private function rooms’.

Some rides are not suitable for persons in a wheelchair, please contact us for further information.

Carer Pass

The Grand Pier Carer Pass offers all the benefits of our Grand Pier Membership pass. This includes unlimited free access onto the Pier along with a 10% saving on food, drink, shopping and wristbands. The Carer Pass costs just £12 for a year.

Unlike our standard membership the Carer Pass allows you to purchase additional passes that can be used by different carers provided they are accompanying the Carers Pass holder. This allows for different carers to accompany the Carer Pass holder without the need to pay admission. The additional passes are available at £12 each and last for a full year.

For for further details and to purchase your Carer Pass please are our gift shop on the first floor of the Pavilion.


A dedicated in-house security team will be working day and night (in uniform and plain-clothes) to ensure that you are safe and secure. Any concerns you may have can be reported to any of the uniformed security officers. In addition, CCTV - operated to the highest standards and controlled from the Operations Room - will constantly monitor the area. Images will be made available to the police and other organisations should they be required.


Unfortunately we cannot permit pets on to the Grand Pier. (except assistance dogs)

Weston-super-Mare Land Train: From Summer 2014 Crosville will be extending their high level of service to running the land train along Weston-super-Mare's seafront.  Two land-trains will run along the seafront, one from the Royal Sands to Victoria Café and the other from the café to Knightstone Island.

By Car
From The North

Exit M5 at junction 21, take the third exit towards Weston-super-Mare and follow signs to 'sea front' and Grand Pier (approximately 3 miles)

From The South

Exit M5 at junction 22, take third exit towards Weston-super-Mare and follow the A38 for approximately 1 mile. Take first exit on the roundabout and follow the A370 towards Weston-super-Mare. Arrive in Weston-super-Mare in approximately 5 miles and follow 'sea front' to Grand Pier.

From Bristol

Follow the A370 out of Bristol and all the way to Weston-super-Mare. Once you pass over the M5 follow 'sea front' to Grand Pier.


Various pay & display options are available, but we recommend Sands Car Park at the corner of Beach Road and Oxford Street


Coaches are very welcome to drop off passengers in the bus stop at the entrance to the Grand Pier. Coach parties are welcome to book in advance for reserved seating in our food outlets, just call 01934 646155. Coach parking is provided further south along the seafront or at Locking Road.

By Rail

Weston-super-Mare railway station is aprroximately a 7-minute walk from the entrance to the Grand Pier. From the station, walk west towards the town and sea front, the Grand Pier is half a mile away. Alternatively hop on the number 100 or 152 buses during school holidays/weekends (see above). For train timetables, prices and tickets, visit:
