As an essential companion/carer, you will be given free entry onto The Grand Pier when with your paying individual.
Who is eligible to be a carer?
A carer must be over 14 years of age and capable of assisting the guest who has the disability. The carer would be expected to understand the disabled person’s condition and assist them in managing it for the duration of their visit.
Do you have wheelchairs onsite?
We do not have any wheelchairs onsite, however Dalesway Mobility is nearby, where you can hire a mobility scooters, wheelchairs and more for the day.
Are dogs allowed on the Pier?
We always love to see assistance dogs on the Pier and our team members are happy to get some water for them. Unfortunately, non-assistance or non-service dogs are not permitted on the Pier.
What if I need two carers to help with my visit?
The first carer will receive free entry to assist with your needs. The second carer will be joining you as a standard paying customer.
Do I need to complete the form each time I visit?
Nope, if you are revisiting, we will already have your details on our system, so you can get straight down to enjoying your day!
Are Events like Concerts at The Grand Pier Accessible?
At The Grand Pier, we are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all our guests. We offer a wide range of accessible features to ensure that everyone can enjoy their visit. Each room is easily accessible by wheelchair and has an accessible toilet located nearby.
