The Grand Piers’ Spectacular Christmas Bauble Design Competition: A Chance for Local Children to Light Up our Landmark!
The Grand Pier is kicking off the festive season with a Christmas competition that is sure to highlight the talent and creativity thriving within the local community.
Aimed at the gifted children of Weston-super-Mare, our “Design Your Festive Bauble” competition offers an exclusive opportunity for one lucky winner to switch on The Grand Pier Christmas lights alongside the Mayor of Weston-super-Mare.
Do you have a budding artist or a creative young mind in your family? Here’s how to get involved:
- The Grand Pier’s “Design Your Festive Bauble” competition starts on Wednesday 1st November 2023, and runs until 5pm on Monday 13th November 2023. This gives our young artists plenty of time to craft their imaginative bauble designs.
- To enter, create a festive bauble, 2D or 3D, that captures the spirit of the season. Use paint, markers, glitter, or any other creative tools you like.
- Once your design is complete, simply snap a high-quality photo of your masterpiece and send your digital entry to our friendly Events Team via email at events@grandpier.co.uk. Make sure to include your child’s name and age in the email, so we can identify our talented participants.
- Every entry will have its place on The Grand Pier’s Christmas tree, for all in town to admire. It’s a unique chance to share your child’s artistic talents with the community.
- The lucky winner will have the power to officially switch on The Grand Pier Christmas lights alongside the Mayor of Weston-super-Mare. This will take place on Sunday 19th November 2023, starting at approx. 5pm.
The chosen winner will be announced on Tuesday 14th November on The Grand Piers Facebook page.
We encourage parents, teachers, and guardians to support the young artists in their lives and help them submit their designs. The more, the merrier!
