Meet the great man himself at The Grand Pier this Christmas
Join us on a magical adventure to Santa’s Grotto where you can meet the great man himself and some of his trusty elves!
As you step through the twinkling entrance with your mixed group of other girls and boys eagerly awaiting to meet Santa Claus, you’ll find yourself in the one and only Santa’s Toy Shop. Oh, how marvellous it is! You’ll see toys of all shapes and sizes and those little rascal elves, all hard at work, getting everything ready for Santa’s big night!
The elves will be super eager to guide you through the festive trail, leading you all the way to Santa’s very own Grotto to hear all about your wishes and dreams for Christmas day! Santa will warmly welcome each of you, offering a precious photo to cherish forever, as well as a wonderful moment of story time, and rest assured, he has a special gift for everyone.
Oh, but be on the lookout! Santa’s playful naughty elf might make an appearance during your visit, adding a touch of excitement to the experience!
Before Santa sets off on his Christmas Eve journey around the world, don’t miss the chance to hop into his sleigh, parked nearby during your visit!
(Please note: The Santa’s Grotto experience lasts for approx. 10 minutes. Each ticket provides admission for 1x child and 1x adult. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable)

What is the event this year and do we get to meet Santa?
This year, you’ll be greeted by Santa’s elves whilst you wait to meet the big man himself in his grotto! All children will receive a wrapped gift to take home. Each session will have a maximum of 10 adults/children.
Does my booking include entry to the Grand Pier?
Yes, please show your booking on arrival to the welcome team. Free entry only applies to those ticket holders to the Grotto.
Will my child receive a gift?
Yes, all children will receive a wrapped gift to take home.
When does the grotto open?
The grotto opens on Saturday 2nd December from 11am – 3:30pm. Other dates include the 3rd, 9th,10th,16th (Grinch),17th (Grinch), 21st (Grinch), 22nd (Grinch), 23rd and 24th of December
When does the grotto close?
The grotto closes on Christmas Eve, Saturday 24th December 2022. The final session will start at 3.20pm.
Will my child get to meet Santa or the Grinch?
If you have booked to meet Santa on any of the Santa’s Grotto dates your child will get to meet Santa, if however, you have booked on the 17th and 18th December the naughty Mr Grinch has taken over the Grotto and Santa is nowhere to be seen
What age is the grotto suitable for?
The grotto is suitable for children aged 18 months to 10 years, but it really is fun for all!
How much will my visit cost?
Standard Tickets to the grotto cost £12.00 this includes entry for one child and accompanying adult plus a wrapped gift. Alternatively you can pay £15.00 that also includes a printed photo in a display folder with Santa.
Are there any additional costs?
Yes,there is a charge of £3.50 per additional adult if you wish to bring your partner or a family member. If you have booked to have a photograph taken with Santa/Grinch you can also purchase additional christmas souvenirs.
Is there a charge for babies in arms under 12 months old?
Not unless you wish the child to meet Santa then please buy a standard ticket.
Why should I book in advance?
We recommend that you pre-book your tickets to avoid disappointment, availability is not guaranteed and tickets are very limited.
Will I receive a ticket once I have booked?
Yes, you will be emailed an e-ticket, you can either print your ticket or show it on your mobile phone at the entrance to the experience.
Do you offer refunds?
We regret that we are unable to refund unwanted tickets. If the event cannot go ahead, then guests will be refunded. If you are unwell then we will try to accommodate you another time, subject to availability.
When should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive at the event 10 minutes before your pre-booked time slot.
Where is the grotto located?
The grotto is located on the first floor of Grand Pier next to the Retail Shop.
Is there access for wheelchairs?
There is full disability access throughout using the lift to the first floor.
