FAQs

What age is the Educational Visit best suited for?

Our Educational Visits are ideal for Key Stages 1 and 2, catering to children up to 11 years old.

Do you have a ‘Learning Outside the Classroom’ badge?

We certainly do!

We are arriving by Coach, where will we be dropped off?

There is a coach drop off just outside of The Grand Pier.

Do we require toilet passes during our visit?

Good question! Throughout your Educational Visit you are welcome to use our on-site toilet facilities free of charge.

We will also be visiting the beach during our visit; can we book a space?

Lots of schools and groups like to extend their trip with some time beside the sea. To do the same, please visit this page via the North Somerset Council website: School visits to Weston seafront | North Somerset Council (n-somerset.gov.uk)

You will be required to complete a form to purchase your dedicated space on the beach as well as toilet passes.

Can I book donkey rides on the beach?

If you are looking to continue your day out with some extra fun, we highly recommend a ride on the famous beach donkeys! Weston Donkeys have a discounted rate for schools. Please contact them here – Contact Weston Donkeys

Can I bring a large group of children?

Absolutely! We welcome large groups and love to see lots of smiling faces. We recommend around 20-30 children per educational talk, so larger groups may be divided into multiple sessions during the visit. While waiting, groups can explore the Pier and penny pushers, or book into our soft play area for just £2 per child.

We have students with dietary requirements, can they be catered for?

Yes, we offer both hot and cold lunch options as add-ons, with meal choices that can accommodate any dietary requirements. Please provide your events team booking contact with a full list of all dietary requirements at least two weeks before your event.

Do we need to pre-order meals in Boardwalk?

While pre-ordering is not essential, it can make your visit go a lot smoother. If we have all pre-orders and dietary requirements before your visit, we can ensure that everyone gets exactly what they want and there is no waiting around with rumbly tummies!

Can we bring our own lunch?

If you would like to bring your own packed lunch onto the Pier, please let us know so we can find enough seats in advance.

Where do we collect our ice creams? All pre-ordered ice creams (and dairy alternatives) can be collected from Grand Café located at the front of the Pier on the Ground Floor. Please let the events team know your approximate arrival time before the day of your visit so we can make sure all ice creams are ready to collect at the arranged time.
