The Grand Pier’s Brand-New Triceratops Brings Smiles to Young Patients at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children

The Grand Pier’s brand-new triceratops swapped his seaside home in Weston-super-Mare for the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children yesterday, bringing big smiles and a dose of dino magic to the wards.

Joined by members of The Grand Pier team, the dinosaur visited several wards, spending time with young patients and their families who are currently receiving care at the hospital.

During the visit, The Grand Pier donated 170 gifts to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, one for every single bed, thanks to the generous support of the Axentis Michael Charitable Trust. The selection of presents, which included cuddly toys, dinosaur trucks and activity packs, was thoughtfully chosen by the team for children of all ages.

Ruby Harvey, Social Media & Marketing Executive at The Grand Pier, said: “We absolutely love our visits to the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Seeing the children’s faces light up as our new triceratops stomped onto the wards was truly special. Giving back to our local community is so important to the pier, and the warm welcome we receive from staff and families makes it all the more rewarding.

This special day was made possible through the collaboration and dedication of the hospital staff, The Grand Appeal, the Axentis Michael Charitable Trust, and the team at The Grand Pier.

Following his big debut this summer, the dino is now back in Weston-super-Mare. Visitors looking to meet the prehistoric resident can spot him roaming around The Grand Pier.
